CFPB 2025 FCRA Disclosure Max Fee


On Nov. 21, CFPB issued 2025 max allowable charge for disclosures.


  • CFPB reported the Fair credit reporting act (FCRA)'s maximum allowable charge for disclosures by a consumer reporting agency to a consumer for the 2025 calendar year.
  • Follows CFPB Nov. 2023 maximum allowable charge for disclosures, see #191051.
  • The maximum allowable charge for 2025 calendar year will remain at $15.50 for 2025.
  • Disclosure Adjustments
  • Amended Appendix O for Reg V (12 CFR 1022), which implements FCRA, to establish the maximum allowable charge for disclosures by a consumer reporting agency.
  • Annually, CFPB is required to calculate maximum allowed charge for disclosures by a consumer reporting agency to customer; rule sets 2025 maximum allowable charge.
  • Information collection contained in Reg V, are approved by OMB under control number 3170-0002, see #31182, and approval for control number expires on Oct. 31, 2025.

  • On Nov. 29, 2024, CFPB published max allowable disclosure fee in the federal register.
  • This final rule is effective Jan. 1, 2025.
