Assistance Available
Assistance can include grants for temporary housing and home repairs, low-cost loans to cover uninsured property losses, recovery programs to help individuals, businesses.
Federal funding also is available to the Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis.
Funding for emergency work, repair or replacement of facilities damaged by wildfires.
In addition funding is available on a cost-sharing basis for hazard mitigation measures.
Sep. 25, 2024 SBA, FEMA Assistance
On Sep. 25, 2024, SBA reported that low-interest disaster loans are now available to businesses and residents due to the White House's major disaster declaration.
Declaration covers Confederated Tribes and Bands of Yakama Nation due to wildfires.
Businesses of all sizes and private nonprofits may borrow up to $2mn to repair or replace real estate, machinery and equipment, inventory and other business assets.
In addition, SBA can also lend additional funds to help with the cost of improvements to protect, prevent or minimize disaster damage from occurring in the future.
For small businesses, agricultural cooperatives, businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private nonprofits, SBA offers Economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs).
EIDLs are intended to help meet working capital needs caused by the disaster.
Disaster loans up to $500k available to homeowners to repair or replace real estate.
Homeowners and renters are eligible for up to $100k to repair or replace damaged or destroyed personal property resulting from the wildfires, including personal vehicles.
Also on Sep. 25, 2024 FEMA reported that disaster assistance was available through it.
According to FEMA, White House action makes federal funding available to affected individuals in the Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation.

Sep. 27, 2024 SBA Private Non-Profit Aid
On Sep. 27, 2024, SBA reported low-interest federal disaster loans are available to certain private nonprofits in the Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation.
Private nonprofits that provide essential services of a governmental nature are eligible.
SBA may lend private nonprofits up to $2 million to repair or replace damaged or destroyed real estate, machinery and equipment, inventory and other business assets.
Funds can be used to help with the cost of protecting from, preventing future damage.
For certain private nonprofit organizations of any size, SBA offers Economic Injury Disaster Loans to help with meeting working capital needs caused by the disaster.
Economic Injury Disaster Loans may be used to pay fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable and other bills that cannot be paid because of the disaster’s impact.
