  • On Sep. 25, 2024, SBA reported that low-interest disaster loans are now available to businesses and residents due to the White House's major disaster declaration.
  • Declaration covers Confederated Tribes and Bands of Yakama Nation due to wildfires.
  • Businesses of all sizes and private nonprofits may borrow up to $2mn to repair or replace real estate, machinery and equipment, inventory and other business assets.
  • In addition, SBA can also lend additional funds to help with the cost of improvements to protect, prevent or minimize disaster damage from occurring in the future.
  • For small businesses, agricultural cooperatives, businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private nonprofits, SBA offers Economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs).
  • EIDLs are intended to help meet working capital needs caused by the disaster.
  • Disaster loans up to $500k available to homeowners to repair or replace real estate.
