SBA Disaster Aid Oklahoma Drought

  • SBA made Economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs) available to Oklahoma small businesses suffering economic damages due to drought beginning Nov. 15, 2023.
  • Eligibility
  • Small nonfarm businesses in 36 Oklahoma counties and counties in KNS and TX are eligible to apply for EIDLs to offset economic losses due to reduced revenues.
  • EIDLs offset economic losses caused by drought that began Nov. 15, 2023.
  • Primary OKLA counties are Atoka, Beckham, Choctaw, Coal, Greer, Harmon, Hughes, Jackson, Osage, Pontotoc, Pushmataha and Washington; 24 neighboring counties.
  • Also neighboring KNS counties of Chautauqua, Cowley Montgomery; neighboring TX counties of Childress, Collingsworth, Hardeman, Lamar, Red River, Wheeler, Wilbarger.
  • Small nonfarm businesses, agricultural cooperatives, businesses engaged in aquaculture, most private nonprofits of any size may qualify for EIDLs.
  • EIDLs of up to $2 million are intended o help meet financial obligations and operating expenses which could have been met had the drought disaster not occurred.
  • Eligibility for EIDLs is based on financial impact of disaster only, not on actual damage.
  • Deadline
  • Completed EIDL applications must be submitted to SBA by Nov. 25, 2024.
