SBA made Economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs) available to Oklahoma small businesses suffering economic damages due to drought beginning Nov. 15, 2023.
Eligibility
Small nonfarm businesses in 36 Oklahoma counties and counties in KNS and TX are eligible to apply for EIDLs to offset economic losses due to reduced revenues.
EIDLs offset economic losses caused by drought that began Nov. 15, 2023.
Primary OKLA counties are Atoka, Beckham, Choctaw, Coal, Greer, Harmon, Hughes, Jackson, Osage, Pontotoc, Pushmataha and Washington; 24 neighboring counties.
Also neighboring KNS counties of Chautauqua, Cowley Montgomery; neighboring TX counties of Childress, Collingsworth, Hardeman, Lamar, Red River, Wheeler, Wilbarger.
Small nonfarm businesses, agricultural cooperatives, businesses engaged in aquaculture, most private nonprofits of any size may qualify for EIDLs.
EIDLs of up to $2 million are intended o help meet financial obligations and operating expenses which could have been met had the drought disaster not occurred.
Eligibility for EIDLs is based on financial impact of disaster only, not on actual damage.
Deadline
Completed EIDL applications must be submitted to SBA by Nov. 25, 2024.
