RI LEG enacted bill SB 2709 relating to prohibitions against medical debt reporting.
Bill prohibits hospitals and other medical providers from reporting medical debt to consumer reporting agencies; violations may be pursued on behalf of consumer by AG.
Adds new Ch 60, medical debt reporting, to Title 6 of RI General Laws (RI LEG 6-60).
