Consultation
Revisions aim to assist listed companies in improving their governance and reporting quality by aligning with EU regulatory changes impacting governance structures, the latest G20/OECD corporate governance principles, and best practices in the field.
EBRD collaborated with ROM BVB to develop the new code; training for issuers and other stakeholders will take place between 2025 and 2026 with EBRD support.
Code incorporates recent regulatory changes, current international standards and priorities of market participants; applicable to all companies listed on main market.
First reporting year for compliance with the new code is 2026, for financial year 2025.
ROM BVB will monitor issuers' compliance with the code annually, publish aggregated monitoring reports annually; training framework for issuers and other stakeholders will begin in Feb. 2025 with a conference that will announce the training program.
Also issued Corporate Governance Code for companies admitted to trading on ROM BVB regulated market Apply or Explain declaration form with guidelines for completion.
