Mandatory recertification test is needed to the OAPI programs that have not conducted re-certification test for a prolonged period to ensure participants' OAPI programs are compliant with the latest HKATS software version; a practice session will be arranged.
Advise participants to coordinate with their IT teams / vendors for necessary planning.

On May 17, 2024, HKEX, HKFE, SEHK Options asked exchange/clearing participants to update Google Chrome for HKATS online, HKATS risk functions and DCASS online.
They can install browser version 124.0.6367.119 starting from Monday, May 27, 2024.
Aug. 2024 Report Retrieval
On Aug. 28, 2024, HKEX SEHK Options, HKFE will upgrade report retrieval solution for derivatives market on Oct. 7, 2024; updated technical guide available via client connect.
CPs are asked to coordinate with IT departments/vendors to adjust internal systems.
Both existing, new solutions will run concurrently from Oct. 7 until Dec. 20, 2024.
Post Dec. 20, 2024, existing solution will be discontinued, CPs must use upgraded one.
CPs should prepare for possible contingencies by ensuring connectivity to the backup site of report retrieval solution; optional test sessions scheduled for Nov. 16 and 30.
Oct. 21, 2024 Connectivity Sessions
On Oct. 21, 2024, HKFE, SEHK Options said that in order to allow CPs to verify the connectivity to the secondary data center of upgraded report retrieval solution in case of contingency, it will arrange 2 optional secondary data center connectivity sessions.
CPs who wish to participate in the connectivity sessions should register in the event section via client connect by the respective deadlines as stated.
CPs are reminded to transit from the existing report retrieval solution to the upgraded one by Dec. 20, 2024, as the existing solution will become obsolete after that date.
Oct, 28, 2024 Browser Instructions
On Oct. 28, 2024, HKFE, SEHK Options, HKEX, asked exchange/clearing participants to update Google Chrome for HKATS online, HKATS risk functions and DCASS online.
Circular will be issued to notify EPs/CPs when they can start to install Nov. 11 version;
Recommends to backing up Google Chrome installer of the current version first.
By keeping a backup of the previously-verified installer, EPs/CPs can ensure that a reliable and stable Google Chrome version is available to minimize disruptions.
Nov. 2024 Reminder
On Nov. 13, 2024, HKFE, SEHK Options said existing report retrieval solution will become obsolete after Dec. 20, 2024; CPs must transition before Dec. 20, 2024.
A second connectivity session will be held on Nov. 30, 2024 to facilitate the transition.
