Insurers subject to GA INS 33-1-27 must submit data on mental health parity.
Comparative Analyses Report (CAR)
GA INS 33-1-27(b)(4) requires health insurers offering coverage for mental health or substance abuse disorders to comply with Georgia’s Mental health parity act.
This includes annual submission of Mental health parity comparative analyses report.
Insurers must submit report no later than Jan. 1st or prior business day of each year.
Insurer groups wishing to submit a single CAR for multiple insurance companies may do so as long as each document identifies applicable company name and NAIC code.
Companies that filed an Attestation for Annual Reporting MHPAEA Analyses for prior reporting year and received approval from the OCI are not required to submit a CAR.
Unless coverage issued during current reporting year is now subject to GA INS 33-1-27
