Nov. 1, 2024 NM LEG Disaster Declaration Approved
On Nov. 1, 2024, NM LEG reported White House approved disaster declaration request to support recovery efforts in response to the flooding in Chaves County.
Individuals impacted by the flood event Oct. 18-21 will be able to apply for FEMA aid.
Nov. 2, 2024 FEMA Home Disaster Aid
On Nov. 2, 2024, FEMA reported that homeowners and renters damage in the Oct. 19-20 storm may be eligible for disaster relief under Individuals and Households Program.
Program includes grants for temporary housing and home repairs, uninsured loss coverage, and other programs to help people recover from the disaster's effects.
Serious Needs Assistance (SNA) and Displacement Assistance (DA) are available.
Nov. 4, 2024 SBA Private Nonprofit Assistance
On Nov. 4, 2024, SBA reported disaster assistance for private nonprofit organizations.
Assistance due to severe storm and flooding that occurred Oct. 19 and Oct. 20, 2024.
SBA loans are intended to be used for working capital needs caused by disaster and Economic injury disaster loans (EIDL) for debts, payroll, accounts payable/other bills.
Applicants should submit loan applications for review in anticipation of future funding.
Must apply for property damage by Dec. 31, 2024, economic injury by Aug. 1, 2025.
