Transition from Palm
RSPO issued an announcement to inform all RSPO members about the upcoming transition from the existing IT platform, PalmTrace, to the new prisma platform.
Critical step in improving digital infrastructure and provide better tools and resources.
Important Timelines
Overall transition period for certification bodies (CBs): Nov. 1, 2024 – Jan. 31, 2025.
Overall transition period for members: Dec. 1, 2024 – Dec. 28, 2024.
Cut-over period: Dec. 26, 2024 (12:00 AM CET) to Dec. 27, 2024 (11:59 PM CET).
For RSPO Members
Data Migration:RSPO will seamlessly transfer existing PalmTrace data (Sites/Facilities, Stock Balance, etc.); will reach out via email in mid-Oct. 2024 to verify your entity and site information (PO IDs); will provide access to review data early Dec. 2024.
Onboarding and Training: training sessions (online and offline) to be offered starting mid-October 2024 to help users get familiar with prisma’s features and functionalities.
Details will be communicated through announcements via email and RSPO website.
RSPO Licenses: RSPO has instructed Certification Bodies to submit requests for a time extension for any PalmTrace licences expiring in Dec. 2024; extension can be granted for a maximum of three months from the original license expiry date; for licenses already extended to maximum three months, no further extensions will be permitted.
For Certification Bodies (CBs)
Universal Audit Report Template: as part of the transition to Prisma, RSPO has prepared a Universal Audit Report template applicable to RSPO Principles and Criteria, RSPO Independent Smallholder Standard, and RSPO Supply Chain Certification audits.
CBs are required to use template for all audits conducted from Nov. 1, 2024 onwards.
Template also mandatory for license requests submitted to RSPO after Nov. 14, 2024.
License Requests: CBs reminded to submit licence requests by Dec. 13, 2024, 23:59 CET; requests submitted after this date may not be reviewed or approved by RSPO.
CBs are encouraged to plan and communicate with certificate holders to avoid any unexpected disruptions during the transition phase.
Effectiveness
Prisma is set to officially launch on Dec. 28, 2024, at 12:00 AM CET.
