Bill adds new Section 28-60-1 (posting of veterans' benefits and services) to Labor and Labor relations title of the Rhode Island general laws (RI LEG 28-60-1).
Bill Provisions
Requires every RI employer with more than 50 full-time employees to display a poster on veterans' benefits in a conspicuous place accessible to employees in the workplace.
DoL and Office of Veterans' Services (OVS) will create and distribute a poster which shall include contact data for OVS, substance abuse, mental health treatment.
Also, include educational, workforce, training resources, tax benefits, RI veterans' licenses and ID cards, unemployment eligibility, legal services, and VA crisis line.
