Updated Jurisdictions
Following review, FATF now also identifies Algeria, Angola, Côte d’Ivoire, Lebanon as jurisdictions subject to increased monitoring; Senegal has been removed from the list.
Participants are advised that transactions with these countries shall not be precluded from legitimate trade and business activities; participants must ensure compliance.
Nov. 18, 2024 IND CDSL Instructions
On Nov. 18, 2024, IND CDSL publicized the updated FATF list of jurisdictions, and reminded DPs that written confirmation to CDSL is required, stating the necessary actions have been taken with respect to the FATF statement and as directed by SEBI.
This includes carrying out due diligence and putting in place alert mechanisms.
DPs must furnish the relevant information to CDSL by Nov. 30, 2024 at the latest.
