TAI FEX issued letter on amendments to market maker quotations, fee reductions, other related regs, in accordance with Operational rules governing market makers.
Issued to futures merchants, futures dealers and specific legal entity market makers.
Adjustments have been made to the regulations concerning the quotation of shipping futures and day-night session USD/CNY futures, effective from Apr. 1, 2024.
Follows TAI FEX Dec. 2023 amended fee reduction and other relevant rules, #196676.
Sep. 2024 Amendments
On Sep. 27, 2024, TAI FEX issued letter to amend market maker quotation rules for TOPIX Futures (TPJ) and TSE Taiwan Index Options (TXO), and extended the maintenance fee exemption period for eligible market makers until Dec. 31, 2025.
The amendments will be effective from Oct. 1, 2024.
Align with the launch of Taiwan mid-cap 100 futures, and Tokyo Stock Price Index (TOPIX) will be included in night trading; implemented when the products are listed.
Adjustment to non-financial and electricity futures, OTC futures, Taiwan perpetual futures and Taiwan mid-cap 100 futures linked to the Taiwan index option fee discount regulations, and OTC futures quotation time regulations, take effect from Jan. 1, 2025.
