POL GVT consulted on Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy draft regulation on minimum wage and minimum hourly rate in 2025; justification issued with the draft.
Follows POL MAL GVT Jun. 2024 outlined minimum wage & hourly rate, see #216708.
The proposed regulation implements authorization in article 2, paragraph 5 of the Act of Oct. 2002 on minimum wage for work, as amended.
Due to need for Council of Ministers to determine, by Sep. 15, by way of regulation, amount of minimum wage and hourly rate in 2025, requests comments within 10 days.
Draft published in Public Information Bulletin of Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy in Legal Acts Drafts tab and on Government Legislation Center website.
If no response by deadline, the silence will be considered as draft's acceptance.
The draft proposes that, from Jan. 1, 2025 the minimum wage be set at PLN 4,626 and minimum hourly rate in PLN 30.20.
Effectiveness
The governmental bodies consulted can submit comments until Aug. 15, 2024.
Regulation set to enter into force on Jan. 1, 2025.

On Sep. 13, 2024, POL GVT issued OG Poz 1362Regulation of the council of ministers of 12 September 2024 on the minimum wage and the minimum hourly rate in 2025.
From Jan. 1, 2025, minimum wage for work will be PLN 4666, with the minimum hourly rate set at PLN 30.50; the regulation will enter into force on Jan. 1, 2025.
