On Mar. 28, EU CNCL issued decision confirming Michel's re-election.
On Jul. 2, 2019, by European Council dec 2019/1135, Mr Charles Michel was elected President of the European Council for the period from Dec. 1, 2019 until May 31, 2022.
In accordance with the Treaty on European Union, the holder of the office of President of the European Council may be re-elected once; Charles Michel has now been re-elected President of European Council for period from Jun. 1, 2022 to Nov. 30, 2024.
