FINFSA announced compliance with amended EBA guidelines on specification and disclosure of indicators used to determine systemic significance from May 20, 2024.
Follows EBA Mar. 2024 issued translations of G-SII amended guidelines see #181026.
Recently EBA issued EBA/GL/2023/10, which amend EBA/GL/2020/14 on specification and disclosure of indicators used to determine systemic significance.
The guidelines replaced previous amended guidance issued via EBA/GL/2022/12.
Per art 16.3 EBA Reg, financial institutions/financial market participants must make every effort to comply with EBA guidelines; thus, FINFSA will comply with them.
Key Aspects
Specify indicators used to define global systemically important institutions (G-SIIs) in Reg 1222/2014, reporting of basic data (indicators, ancillary data, additional data sets) and annual publication of indicator values used in determining G-SIIs based on them.
Apply to credit entities whose minimum capital adequacy ratio exceeds EUR 200 bn.
