On Apr. 15, HKEX changed character format of derivative warrants.
HKEX issued circular on the change of character format of derivative warrants (DWs), callable bull/bear contracts (CBBCs) and inline warrants (IWs) stock short names.
Format Change
The naming conventions of stock short name of DWs, CBBCs and IWs will be changed.
The format of serial number shown in the stock short names will be extended from alphabet characters only to alphanumeric characters; details outlined in the appendix.
DWs, CBBCs and IWs launched before the effective date will remain unaffected.
Effectiveness
The change will be implemented on May 13, 2024 tentatively.
