OFAC issued General license 83A (GL 83A) to authorize certain seafood imports.
Follows OFAC issuance of GL 83 in Dec. 2023 related to same licensing, #195926.
GL 83A
This general license supersedes and replaces General license 83, issued Dec. 22, 2023.
Transactions otherwise prohibited by determination of Dec. 22, 2023 that are ordinarily incident and necessary to import seafood derivative products into US are permitted.
License does not authorize transactions otherwise prohibited by Russian Harmful Foreign Activities Sanctions Regulations and transactions involving blocked persons
Effectiveness
Products must have been loaded onto a vessel at the port of loading prior to Feb. 20, 2024, per written contracts prior to Dec. 22, 2023, are authorized to May 31, 2024.
