ITA INS announced it will make new RUI portal operational in the coming months.
Legal representatives of registered companies (A, B, D), insurance companies, general representatives of EU companies must accredit themselves on specific portal first.

Overview
To access the new RUI, which will allow intermediaries and insurance companies to directly enter and update data in RUI, it is necessary, as a first step, accreditation.
Legal representatives of brokerage companies in sections A, B and D of register; legal representatives of insurance companies; general representatives of secondary offices of brokerage firms in Annexed List EU must carry out prior accreditation.
The mentioned accreditation is to be done at Delegation Portal via SPID, CIE or CNS.
Natural person intermediaries, even if operating via sole proprietorship/business, must not do prior accreditation on portal as they will be able to access the new RUI directly.
Before starting accreditation procedure, company's chamber of commerce certificate or other suitable documentation to certify representation on behalf of company is needed.
Once accredited, the representatives will, in turn, be able to delegate one or more subjects for access to the new RUI portal when it is made operational.

Mar. 5, 2024 Update
On Mar. 5, 2024, ITA INS updated intermediaries and companies on RUI portal issues.
Reiterated information on who needs register and how and provided practical guidance.
To allow transition from the old to new system, from Apr. 30 no longer be possible to send applications by transmission of e-form (intelligent PDF), PEC box deactivated.
All requests for data entry and updating that arrive by Apr. 30 will be processed using current method, after this date it will be necessary to wait for the new Portal to launch.
Manual for using new Portal will be made available closer to its launch in early Jun.
As for the test session 2023 submission of application for participation in RUI test and payment of related contribution must be made without fail by 12.00 on Mar. 29, 2024.
Advised to pay contribution as soon notice available to avoid registration problems.

On Mar. 29, 2024, ITA INS said the new RUI portal will be operational from Jun. 4.
To allow the launch of the new RUI Portal, it will NO longer be possible to send requests and communications to ITA INS from Apr. 30, 2024.
All requests, communications received by ITA INS by Apr. 30 will be processed in May with update of public RUI, which will remain available for consultation on the site.
Requests and communications can be send via new RUI Portal from Jun. 4, 2024.
