On Oct. 5, SBA made disaster loans available in California State.


  • SBA economic injury disaster loans (EIDL) available to CAL State small businesses.
  • Loans due to freezing temperatures, wind, and rain that began Feb. 16, 2023.
  • Loan Eligibility
  • Reported loans are available in primary Tehama county in California and neighboring California counties Butte, Glenn, Mendocino, Plumas, Shasta and Trinity.
  • Small nonfarm businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private nonprofit organizations may qualify for loans to $2mn.
  • Eligibility is based on financial impact of disaster only, not on actual property damage.
  • Help meet obligations, operating expenses which may have been met if no disaster.
  • Businesses engaged in farming or ranching are not eligible for SBA disaster assistance.
  • Application Deadline
  • The deadline for submitting completed EIDL applications to the SBA is May 29, 2024.
