On Oct. 4, SBA reported economic injury disaster loans over drought.
SBA announced availability of economic injury disaster loans (EIDL) for Montana small businesses in areas that experienced drought that occurred starting Aug. 1, 2023.
Eligibility
Primary Montana county of Missoula; neighboring MT counties: Flathead, Granite, Lake, Mineral, Powell, Ravalli, Sanders; neighboring IDA counties: Clearwater, Idaho.
Covers economic impact on businesses dependent on farmers and ranchers suffering agricultural production losses caused by disaster and businesses directly impacted.
Small nonfarm businesses, agricultural cooperatives, businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private nonprofits may qualify for EIDLs of up to $2 million.
Loans intended to help meet financial obligations and operating expenses which could have been met had the disaster not occurred, regardless of lack of physical damage.
Application Deadline
Completed EIDL applications must be submitted to SBA by May 28, 2024.
