SBA AZ Drought Disaster Relief Loans

  • SBA made economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs) available to AZ small businesses.
  • Offsets economic losses due to reduced revenues caused by drought on Sep. 19.
  • Eligible Counties
  • Loans available in primary Arizona counties Cochise, Graham, Greenlee, Pima and Santa Cruz; neighboring AZ counties Apache, Gila, Maricopa, Navajo, Pinal and Yuma.
  • Also available in neighboring New Mexico counties: Catron, Grant and Hidalgo.
  • Eligibility
  • Covers economic impacts on businesses dependent on farmers and ranchers who suffered agricultural production losses and businesses directly impacted by disaster.
  • Small nonfarm businesses, agricultural cooperatives, aquaculture businesses and most private nonprofits of any size qualify for loans up to $2mn for financial obligations.
  • Businesses primarily engaged in farming/ranching not eligible for disaster assistance.
  • Eligibility is based on the financial impact to the business and not property damage.
  • Application Deadline
  • The deadline for small businesses to submit applications for EIDLs is May 28, 2024.
