Extension to the effective date of implementation of the proviso to regulation 30(11) of the Listing obligations and disclosure requirements) regulations, 2015, (LODR) rules.
Requires entities to mandatorily verify and confirm, deny or clarify market rumors.
The implementation date has been extended for the top 100 listed entities by market capitalization to Feb. 1, 2024, and for top 250 listed entities to Aug. 1, 2024.
Jan. 2024 Timeline Extended
On Jan. 25, 2024, IND SEBI extended implementation date for top 100 listed entities by market capitalization to Jun. 1, 2024; for top 250 listed entities to Dec. 1, 2024.
It provided this timeline extension taking into account that the industry standards are under finalization and that certain amendments are required to the SEBI (listing obligations and disclosure requirements) regulations, 2015, as described in #196634.
