Jun. 2024 FEMA Publishes President's Approval
On Jun. 11, 2024, FEMA published of presidential approval of disaster aid for Idaho.
Aid is intended to supplement State, tribal and local recovery efforts in the areas affected by a severe storm, flooding landslides and mudslides from April 14-15, 2024.
Public assistance federal funding is available to the state, tribal and eligible local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis.
Jun. 20, 2024 SBA Fed Register Notice of Disaster
On Jun. 20, 2024, SBA issued a federal register release regarding the public assistance only disaster declaration for the State of Idaho due to Apr. 14-15, 2024 storms.
SBA stated that private nonprofits that provide essential services of a governmental nature may file disaster loan applications through the MySBA Loan Portal.
Physical damage applications are due Aug. 9, 2024; EIDLs by Mar. 10, 2025.
Primary counties of Idaho, Lewis and Shoshone have been adversely affected.
Number assigned physical damage is 203906 and for economic injury is 203910.

On Jul. 8, 2024, FEMA published Presidential declaration of a major disaster for the State of Idaho (FEMA-4789-DR), dated June 10, 2024, in the federal register.
Aug. 2, 2024 SBA Idaho Disaster Assistance
On Aug. 2, 2024, SBA reported opening a Virtual Disaster Loan Outreach Center on Aug. 5, 2024, for low-interest disaster applications for rural and non-rural areas.
Businesses of all sizes and private nonprofits may borrow up to $2mn to repair or replace damaged or destroyed real estate, equipment, inventory, other assets.
SBA can also lend additional funds to businesses and homeowners to help with the cost of improvements to prevent or minimize future disaster damage from occurring.
For small businesses, agricultural cooperatives, businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private nonprofits, SBA offers EIDLs to help meet working capital needs.
EIDLs are available regardless of whether business suffered any property damage.
Disaster loans up to $500k available to homeowners to repair damaged real estate.
Additionally, homeowners and renters are eligible for up to $100,000 to repair or replace damaged or destroyed personal property, including personal vehicles.
Property damage application deadline is Oct. 1, 2024; economic injury is May 2, 2025.
