On Mar. 26, DEN DIG consulted on draft executive order re NIS 2.
DEN DIG consulted on draft Executive Order on Validation, Verification and Disclosure of Domain Name Registration Data, implementing parts of EU Directive 2022/2555.
Under Bill L141, top-level domain name administrators and entities providing domain name registration services must maintain a separate database with domain data.
The draft establishes validation, verification methods for the email address, telephone number and name of a registrant of a domain name, and deadlines for validation.
Also, it clarifies which information must be provided in response to legitimate requests for the disclosure of non-public domain name registration data and relevant deadlines.
Including deadlines for the provision of information in the event of urgent requests.
All administrators of top-level domain names and registrars who carry out activities directed towards the EU and who have Danish jurisdiction are covered by the Order.
The executive order is planned to enter into force on Jul. 1, 2025.
