NFA proposed amendments to NFA Financial Requirements Section 1 and Section 4 to incorporate changes required by CFTC Regulation 1.44 regarding margin adequacy.
Proposed Amendments
Newly adopted CFTC Reg 1.44 (#201737) applies requirements to future commission merchants (FCMs) on margin adequacy and treatment of separate customer accounts.
As a result, NFA will require FCM members for which NFA is designated self-regulatory organization (DSRO) to file notifications required under CFTC Reg 1.44 with NFA.
Added reference to CFTC Regulation to incorporate treatment of customer property.
Effectiveness
Intends to make proposed amendments effective 10 days after submission, Jun. 21.
