C-OSFI issued memorandum reminding insurers to file earthquake exposure data.
Apply to Canadian and branches of foreign property and casualty insurance companies.
Earthquake Data Form
Changes to 2025 form include Section 2.1, Field 2145, Exchange rate applied to capital & surplus (Canadian branches only) is coded as a number with five decimal places.
Also form amendment included in Section 3.1, where replaced RMS with Moody’s RMS.
Effectiveness
Companies are required to file Earthquake Data Form for 2025 by May 31, 2025.
