PER SBS issued Resolution 01661-2025 to approve new regulation of supplementary channels of customer service, allowing expansion of types of operations and services.

Highlights
Allows lower operating costs, located in more areas, promotion of financial inclusion.
Additionally, this regulation allows the basic operations establishments (EOB) to make loan disbursements with account credit; as well as evaluate and approve loans.
Open demand, term, savings deposit accounts; general electronic money accounts.
Determines that financial system companies and EEDEs must establish limits for the provision of these operations and services through EOBs, considering their nature.
These limits must be set within maximum amounts set, must be reported to PER SBS.
The EOBs are in-person service points operating in fixed or mobile establishments.
Supplementary channels for customer service, operated by financial institutions.
In the event of noncompliance, PER SBS may suspend the authorization to operate.
Eliminates prior authorization requirement to operate with correspondent ATMs.
No significant loss events have occurred re transactions and services through channel.
Supervised companies must adapt internal processes to comply with new provisions.
