SIN ENT launched a new grant and program for supporting sustainability reporting.
In addition, it published its inaugural sustainability report, which covers efforts to embed sustainability within its operations and build Singapore firms' capabilities.
Sustainability Reporting Grant
All Singapore-incorporated SGX-listed companies and non-listed Singapore-incorporated companies with an annual revenue of at least SGD 100mn are eligible.
The grant aims to assist Singaporean companies in producing their first ISSB-aligned sustainability report before mandatory reporting takes effect, from Nov. 1, 2024.
Up to 30% of qualifying costs, i.e., consultancy and external assurance services, manpower training, capped at SGD 150k, whichever is lower will be reimbursed.
Firms with 30% local shareholding can apply via SIN ENT; other firms through EDB.
SME Sustainability Reporting Program
SIN ENT will offer advisory services to local SMEs for preparing their first sustainability reports at cost-competitive rates, including quantifying emissions, drafting a report.
In partnership with Deloitte & Touche Business Advisory, Ernst & Young, and RSM.
Will reimburse 70% of eligible costs for SMEs that apply for support from Nov. 1, 2024 to Mar. 31, 2026, and 50% for applications from Apr. 1, 2026 to Oct. 31, 2027.
Interested SMEs can apply through the service providers' websites from Nov. 1, 2024.
