  • Businesses and private nonprofit organizations may borrow up to $2mn to repair or replace disaster-damaged or destroyed real estate, machinery and equipment, assets.
  • Deadline for physical property damage loans is Nov. 29, 2024, EIDLs is Jun. 30, 2025.
  • On the same day, FEMA reported President Biden made additional disaster assistance available to GA to supplement recovery efforts in areas affected by Hurricane Helene.

  • Oct. 2024 FEMA Unemployment Insurance
  • On Oct. 20, 2024, FEMA reported Georgians unemployed as a direct consequence of Tropical Storm Debby or Hurricane Helene may be eligible to receive assistance.
  • Federal Disaster Unemployment Assistance provides benefits to people who are self-employed, farmers, diversified farming operators, loggers, commission-paid workers.
