Operated via tax authority's compensation fund, the program is designed to maintain continuity of trade/steady supply of goods to Israel, even during security challenges.
Program launched Oct. 2023 following the outbreak of the iron sword war, after many insurance companies stopped providing insurance coverage for war/terrorism risks.
The program has served as a central government tool for protecting maritime and air trade activity, and has been a critical pillar in maintaining the national supply chain.
Decision to extend the program reflects government's commitment to maintaining the continuity of trade and supply of Israel under complex conditions re security.
