On Apr. 8, AST CDS issued proposal re redirect to app authentication.
AST CDS published consultation draft 369 re draft standards related to redirect to app, an alternative authentication flow to the existing usage of redirect to web with OTP.
In addition, AST CDS issued an explanatory documentregarding the same subject.
New standard would allow data holders to provide customer authentication using their consumer-facing apps, where supported, to authenticate customers using existing authentication practices; additionally AST CDS conducting broader review of standards.
Effectiveness
AST CDS hosting information session on April 17, 2025 to outline papers, session will supplement written submissions process and answer questions about draft standards.
The consultation period is open until May 13, 2025.
