On Oct. 14, UK LSE introduced LSE 24 customer development service.
UK LSE issued a Service Announcement Notice entitled London Stock Exchange – LSE 24 Customer Development Service (CDS) Launch, announcing forthcoming availability.
Follows LSEG Jul. 2026 announced launch of new trading venue, LSE 24, see #307235.
Notice Content
LSE 24 is new UK LSE trading service, to support activity outside of UK market hours.
Operating under Market Identifier Code (MIC) XLOE, the LSE 24 will initially support Exchange Traded Products (ETPs) including ETFs, ETCs and ETNs admitted to trading on UK LSE, providing participants with additional opportunities to access UK markets.
LSE 24 will operate its own technical configuration, so customers must request CDS and Production access, but Member IDs between core market and LSE 24 are same.
Also, LSE 24 introduces new AI-enabled capabilities, allowing member firms to interact with market via approved Large Language Models (LLMs), like Claude and ChatGPT.
Standard trading controls, authorization and market integrity requirements continue.
CDS Rollout
The LSE 24 CDS environment will be delivered in three phases, giving participants early access to functionality and supporting testing ahead of the production launch.
At launch of Phase 1, on Oct. 19, 2026, LSE 24 CDS environment will initially operate between 17:00 one day and 15:00 the next, giving customers 22-hour testing window. However, customer support will be available Monday to Friday, from 06:00 to 18:00.
The initial CDS operating hours will differ from those of the later Production service.
Later, LSE 24 CDS environment will support Production-like hours to facilitate testing, and a further Service Announcement Notice will be issued to communicate this change.
Technical Documentation
As LSE 24 will operate as a separate system to the current LSE core market, new technical documentation has been created to capture the various LSE 24 changes.
This documentation can be seen under LSE 24 Sections of the LSE Technical Library.
The new LSE 24 documentation and existing Core Market documentation can be seen on the links for Trading Gateways and for the Group Ticker Plant, in Technical Library.
Effectiveness
The LSE 24 CDS environment is expected to be available to customers from Oct. 19, 2026, ahead of production launch of LSE 24 in Q2 2027, subject to UK FCA approval.
