Clarify the requirements for using facial recognition technology to process facial data, including compliance with laws and regulations, respecting social morality and ethics, abiding by professional ethics, and fulfilling the obligation to protect personal data.
When using facial recognition technology to process facial information, there should be a specific purpose and sufficient necessity, and the obligation to inform the individual.
When processing facial information based on personal consent, the individual's consent should be obtained; parents' consent should be obtained for minors aged below 14.
No organization or individual may mislead, defraud or coerce individuals into accepting the use of facial recognition technology to verify their personal identity.

The regulations will be effective from Jun. 1, 2025.
