Assistance is being offered for those in certain areas of Ottawa, Armour, Burk’s Falls, French River, Sudbury, Orillia, Ramara and Kawartha Lakes areas.
Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians (DRAO)
Provides financial assistance for eligible damages not covered by insurance.
Program offers financial assistance for emergency expenses, including for clean up, costs to repair or replace essential property, and to emergency evacuation costs.
Applicants must proceed with an insurance claim before submitting an application.
Sewer backup is not covered; damage to basements is limited, excludes furnishings.
