Instruction 658 revoked Instruction 630 and comes into force on its publication date.
On Oct. 16, BRZ CB issued amendments to Pix operations rules.
BRZ CB published Resolution 425 regarding operation of pix payment arrangement.

Highlights
Pix participants who offer transactional accounts to individual end users must provide the possibility of scheduling a transaction or recurring transactions for these end users.
Follow functions defined in the Manual of minimum requirements for user experience.
Must obtain approval re compliance with the requirements of the Pix adhesion process.
Institutions with mandatory participation in Pix may request the voluntary dismissal.
By informing of the intention to end issuance of electronic money/raising cash funds.

Nov. 1, 2024 BRZ CB Pix Regulation
On Nov. 1, 2024, BRZ CB published Instructions 534 and 533 to update security rules.
Instruction 534 published version 6.0 of Pix Times Manual, comprising Pix Regulation.
And Instruction 533 published version 2.7.0 of the Pix Initiation Standards Manual.
Both in accordance with Article 2 of the Regulation in Resolution 1, of Aug. 12, 2020.
New rules for registering devices to conduct transactions make the Pix service safer.
Users who wish to use a device that has not yet been registered to conduct Pix transactions will have to register it with the institution where they have an account.
Instructions 534 and 533 revoked Instructions 384, of 2023, and 300, of Aug. 2022.
Changes re Automatic Pix of Instruction 534 shall come into force on Jun. 16, 2025, and other changes on Nov. 1, 2024; Instruction 533 in force on its publication date.
Nov. 2024 BRZ CB Pix Version
On Nov. 29, 2024, BRZ CB issuedInstructions 553 and 554 with new version of the Pix Initiation Standards Manual, to establish format and new data to send periodically.
Instruction 533 discloses the new manual's electronic address on the BRZ CB website.
Instruction 553 repeals Instruction 533 and comes into force on date of publication.
Additionally, Normative Instruction 554 will come into force as of Jun. 16, 2025.
Mar. 18, 2025 BRZ CB Version 2.8.1
On Mar. 18, 2025, BRZ CB published Instruction 591 to launch version 2.8.1 of the Pix Initiation Standards Manual, comprising Pix Regulation, following Resolution 1 of 2020.
Instruction 591 revoked Instruction 553 and comes into force on its publication date.
Jun. 5, 2025 BRZ CB Version 2.8.2
On Jun. 5, 2025, BRZ CB published Instruction 630 to launch version 2.8.2 of the Pix Initiation Standards Manual, comprising Pix Regulation, following Resolution 1 of 2020.
Instruction 630 revoked Instruction 591 and comes into force on its publication date.
Also on Jun. 5, BRZ CB issued Resolution 482 to amend Resolution 1 of Aug. 12, 2020.

Jun. 9, 2025 BRZ CB Pix Times Manual
On Jun. 9, 2025, BRZ CB issued Instruction 635 re version 6.0 of Pix Times Manual.
Instruction 635 revoked Instruction 534 and shall come into force on Jun. 16, 2025.
Aug. 2025 BRZ CB Special Pix Refund
On Aug. 28, 2025, BRZ CB published updates to Pix Regulations via Resolution No. 493, strengthening the Special Return Mechanism (MED) to improve fraud recovery.
MED will identify potential resource paths, will be shared with the participants involved in the transactions, and will allow funds to be returned within 11 days of a dispute.
The feature rolls out as optional on Nov. 23 and becomes mandatory by Feb. 2, 2026.
On Oct. 1, Pix users can dispute transactions directly in-app without human assistance.
The MED's self-service feature will speed up the process of fraudulent transactions, increasing the likelihood that there will still be funds in before they’re withdrawn.
Sep. 1, 2025 BRZ CB Version 7.0
On Sep. 1, 2025, BRZ CB issued Instruction 654 releasing version 7.0 of Pix Times Manual, which comprises Pix Regulation, in accordance with Resolution 1, of 2020.
Changes in sections 1.4, 4.2.2.7 come into force on Nov. 23, 2025; changes re sections 4.2.1.8, 4.2.1.9, 4.4.1.2, 4.5 and 5.2 come into force on Feb. 2, 2026.
Instruction 654 revokes Instruction 635, of Jun. 9, 2025.
