On Sep. 12, SBA made EIDLs available to MT small businesses.
SBA reported Economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs) are now available to Montana small businesses and neighboring Idaho counties due to drought that began Jul. 16.
Eligibility
EIDLs are intended to offset economic losses due to reduced revenues due to drought.
Primary MT counties Broadwater, Lincoln; neighboring MT counties Flathead, Gallatin, Jefferson, Lewis & Clark, Meagher and Sanders; ID counties Bonner, Boundary.
Small nonfarm businesses, agricultural cooperatives, businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private nonprofits may qualify with SBA for obtaining EIDLs.
Loans of up to $2 million are available to help meet financial obligations and operating expenses which could have been met by victims had the disaster not occurred.
Eligibility based on financial impact of disaster only, not on actual property damage.
Deadline
Completed EIDL applications must be submitted to SBA by May 9, 2025.
