EU Registry keeps an accurate account of operations re annual emission allocations under the Effort Sharing Regulation, amended with higher reduction targets for 2030.
The draft regulation will provide amendments in order to reflect the new requirements.
Including changes to art 59b, 59i, 59j, 59l, 59m to align them with new requirements and limits set in art 5 of the ESR for borrowing, banking, and transferring AEAs.
Also, to art 59k re changes to the use of the LULUCF flexibility under art 7 of the ESR.
Art59h(d) re ETS flexibility; art 59n to align the safety reserve with new 2030 target.
Effectiveness
Comments can be submitted until May 5, 2025, at midnight Brussels time.
