Follows LOU LEG enactment of Act 340 on allocation of insurance fraud fund, #213241.
Amendments
Rule 13 was originally promulgated accordance with the authority provided through Louisiana Revised StatutesLOU INS 40:1428 and LOU INS 40:1429.
Amendments are made to Rule 13 to reflect the changes made to LOU INS 40:1428.
The rule assesses a fee on insurers to pay the cost of investigation, enforcement, public education and public awareness, prosecution of insurance fraud in this state.
Consultation
Comments on the proposed amendments will be accepted through May 12, 2025.
