UK GC launched consultation on proposed changes to the gaming machine technical standards, gaming machine testing strategy, licence conditions and codes of practise.
Third consultation on implementing 2023 Gambling Act Reviewwhite paper proposals.
Includes: 5 new standards, license condition and social responsibility code provision to help consumers use gaming machines safely: time and monetary limit functionality; information provision (gambling messaging, net position/session time display, etc).
Proposes to amend 3 existing standards having considered customer enjoyment and gameplay proposals; consolidate the 12 gaming machine technical standards into one.
Amend format for consistency with remote gambling and software technical standards; update gaming machine technical standards/test strategy to remove obsolete material.
