On Apr. 14, IRE PEN selected pension schemes for EIOPA stress test.
IRE PEN confirmed EIOPA launch of 5th EU-wide stress test for occupational pension schemes (IORPs) on Apr. 7, 2025, limited number Irish pension schemes to take part.
2025 stress test will focus on impact of adverse market developments on the liquidity position of IORPs, covers member states with IORP sectors exceeding €600 million.
In line with EIOPA's specification, IRE PEN has selected larger Irish pension schemes for participation in 2025 exercise and has made contact with the selected schemes.
Stress test instructions, reporting templates, other documentation is available.
Effectiveness
From Apr. 21, 2025 for 5 weeks, participating schemes can send any questions they have about the stress test instructions to IRE PEN using designated Q&A template.
Questions and answers of general interest will be published by EIOPA weekly.
The deadline for participating schemes to submit such questions is May 19, 2025.
Selected schemes must submit their reporting templates to IRE PEN by Jul. 11, 2025.
