IDA INS issued Bulletin 26-16 for health insurers offering individual, small group, or large group major medical coverage in Idaho.
Mandatory Data Call
Collecting premium, enrollment, administrative expense, and claims information to conduct an analysis of health care costs in commercial health insurance market.
Applies to insurers that offered comprehensive major medical business for any reporting year from 2022 through 2025.
Includes individual, small group, and large group coverage, plus self-funded employer plans the insurer administers.
Excludes short-term health plans, student health plans, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, Medicaid managed care, stand-alone dental or vision coverage, other excepted benefits.
Reporting Template
Insurers must report the information specified in the Excel reporting template, following the instructions and data dictionary contained in the template.
Claims are reported on an incurred basis and must include payments made through at least Jul. 31, 2026.
Each submission must include a copy of the insurer's filed MLR Annual Reporting Form for Idaho for each reporting year from 2022 through 2025, in Excel format.
Deadline
Completed data submissions are due by Nov. 16, 2026.
