BRZ ANS published Normative Resolution ANS 681, amending mandatory coverage list for procedures and health events under supplementary healthcare.
Mandatory Peroral Cholangioscopy Coverage
Amends Resolution 465/2021 to include health insurance coverage for peroral cholangioscopy with laser or electrohydraulic lithotripsy, for complex biliary stones.
Mandatory coverage applies when conventional endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography treatment has failed to adequately resolve the condition.
Procedure was incorporated into Annexes I and II of Resolution 465/2021, including specific utilization guidelines requirements.
Effectiveness
Normative Resolution 681 enters into force on Nov. 3, 2026.
