TAI WDA Newly Defined Minimum Wage

On Apr. 15, TAI WDA proposed revision to reflect new minimum wage.

  • TAI WDA, TAI Justice issued TAI LAB notice which proposes to amend the Regulations of the implementation of the employment promotion of employment insurance.
  • Clarify rules for claiming subsidies, remove restrictions on employment incentives.
  • Amendments
  • Replace term basic wage with minimum wage in accordance with Minimum wage act.
  • Require authorization forms for accessing insurance data; allow multiple employers to separately claim employment incentives for the same worker during the same period.
  • Clarify subsidies for employment incentives are based on full-time/part-time monthly wages, to align with similar policies for middle-aged, senior unemployed workers.
  • Provisions on leave for temporary job allowance recipients now explicitly refer to the Act of gender equality in employment to promote workplace equality.
  • Introduce a new provision disallowing late applications for subsidies or allowances.
