  • Bill Provisions
  • An employer must maintain a copy of employee's paystub for a period of three years.
  • Employer to provide an employee with a copy of pay stubs upon employee's request.
  • Required employer to furnish copy of the pay stub within 21 calendar days of request.
  • Employer is not required to grant request more than twice in a 12-month period.
  • Not required to grant request for former employer if more than 1 year from separation.
  • Request made by employee/former employee must be made to person responsible for maintaining employer's payroll, including HR, supervisor or department manager.
  • Employer that fails to furnish stub as required may be fined up to $500 per violation.
