JPN SCC revised the Business rules on business of assuming commodity transaction debts, in accordance with the listing of annual electricity futures contracts on TOCOM.
Follows TOCOM Mar. 2025 revised rules re electricity futures trading, see #245736.
Outline of Revisions
Stipulate the handling of open positions resulting from cascading of annual electricity transactions, the method for calculating settlement differences related to cascading.
Plus, the method for calculating intraday margin and emergency margin for cascading.
Set annual electricity transaction clearing fee at JPY 876 for baseload per transaction.
Effectiveness
The revised Business rules will be implemented from May 26, 2025.
