RSA DTI published draft transformation fund concept document for public comment.
Transformation Fund
Aim of fund is to aggregate enterprise and supplier development (ESD) funds to support transformation and participation and sustainability of black-owned enterprises.
Opportunity to work with private sector to increase effective economic participation of black-owned and managed enterprises, including small, medium and micro enterprises and co-operatives and enhance access to financial and non-financial support.
In line with Broad-based Black Economic Empowerment Act (B-BBEE Act) provisions.
Expected that R100 billion will be aggregated over the term of the current administration through joint effort by government in partnership with private sector.
Particular attention given to businesses owned by women, youth and people living with disabilities, especially those based in rural and township areas.
Consultation Period
Comments on draft concept can be submitted from Mar 20, 2025 until May 7, 2025.
