Enhancements
For applicable demat account freezes, participants must capture regulatory authority details, including the issuing official’s name, address, phone number, and email; missing details should be entered as “not available.”
Participants must also capture the order date, while order type is conditionally required for the freeze reason “statutory order - SEBI order/SEBI directive (SSO).”
Corresponding ISO tags for regulatory authority details, order type, and order date have been added to transaction upload and change order of the day (COD) formats under UDiFF version 3.0.1.2, requiring relevant back-office updates.
Effectiveness
The enhancements will be deployed to production from EOD Aug. 28, 2026, and participants must make the necessary system and operational arrangements.
