On Mar. 28, SWE CMP issued merger notification regs and guidelines.
SWE CMP published new regulations KKVFS 2025:1 and general guidelines on merger notification under the Competition act, replacing previous regulations KKVFS 2010:3.
New Regulations
Purpose of regulations is to streamline examination of mergers notified to SWE CMP.
New guidelines briefly concern how the notification of a merger should be formulated and how prior contact should be handled in connection with a merger notification.
New requirements have been introduced for notification of certain categories of mergers, and some information requirements in previous regs have been removed.
Effectiveness
The new guidelines enter into force on May 26, 2025.
