Amended provisions of Title I property improvement and manufactured home program.
Also, Title II single family forward and home equity conversion mortgage (HECM).
Removed the non-permanent resident aliens sections in entirety, eliminating eligibility for non-permanent resident borrowers, updated requirements for permanent residents.
Revised residency requirements will apply to deferred action for childhood arrivals (DACA) recipients as well as individuals who are pending asylum or refugee status.
Effectiveness
Provisions may be implemented immediately but must be in place by May 25, 2025.
