Bill Provisions
Added that Private landowner, private leaseholder, or commercial businessmeans a landowner, leaseholder, or commercial business that is not a governmental entity.
Under ARK LEG 12-12-1803, restrictions on use, added limited liability company as entity for which it is unlawful to use an automatic license plate reader system.
Allowed use by private landowner, private leaseholder, or commercial business for the purpose of promoting public safety, deterring crime, and monitoring property access.
Including ingress and egress to private property on a private road owned by the party.
Amended ARK LEG 12-12-1804 to limit timeframe to preserve license data, 60 days for private landowner/leaseholder, commercial business; 150 days other eligible entities.
Described circumstances a governmental entity may compel release of plate data.
ARK LEG 12-12-1805 amended to require promulgation of related rules and policies.
Compile certain statistical data every 6 months; report to legislative council on request
ARK LEG 12-12-1807 allowed attorney general to bring actions to enforce violations.
